VERSAILLES — Third baseman Maddie Bright and first baseman Natalie Underwood both had three hits and drove in two runs as the Lady Hornets demolished the Lady Tigers in three innings in Thursday night's season opener.

Bright finished 3-for-3 with a double and scored two runs, while Underwood was also 3-for-3 with a triple and a run scored.

Fulton Middle School pitcher Brilee Ash tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out six.

The Lady Hornets play their home opener against South Callaway at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
