High school boys' soccer: Nine Fulton soccer players achieve all-District 6 status

Nine players from the Fulton Hornets soccer team - which captured the Class 2, District 6 title - were recently named to the all-District 6 team.

Selected for the honor for Fulton were senior midfielder Clement Mahoro, senior forward Mason Crane, senior midfielder Seth Windsor, senior goalkeeper Logan Vanden Bosch, junior forward Alban Dervishi, junior defender Dalton Jones, sophomore defender Dillon Jones, freshman forward Christian Mahoro and freshman midfielder Jayden Ayers.

The Hornets won the District 6 championship with a 3-2 victory over host Moberly on Nov. 5.

Fulton also placed five players on the all-North Central Missouri Conference team. Chosen to the first team were Clement Mahoro, Dervishi and Dillon Jones, while Vanden Bosch and Ayers were second-team picks.

The Hornets advanced to the state playoffs for the first time since 2004, falling at home to Pleasant Hill 2-1 in overtime in the Class 2 state quarterfinals on Nov. 10. Fulton finished the season with a 16-7 record.
