MOKANE - The No. 8 seed Wildcats tumbled to 2-11 on the season after being roughed up by the No. 1 Bearcats in first-round play at the South Callaway Invitational Tournament on Tuesday night.
New Bloomfield was down 28-6 after one quarter and trailed 41-13 at halftime.
Senior center Easton Ambler and sophomore guard Trevor Jordan led the Wildcats with eight points apiece.
New Bloomfield plays No. 4 seed Calvary Lutheran in the consolation semifinals at 6 tonight in the middle school gym. Calvary Lutheran lost to No. 5 seed North Callaway 66-62 in Tuesday night's first round.
