High school boys' basketball: Missouri School for Deaf 58, Kansas School for Deaf 29

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Senior center Mikal Meriwether tallied a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds to steer the Eagles past the Jackrabbits for their third consecutive win Saturday at the Iowa School for the Deaf.

MSD (5-3) roughed up KSD in the first quarter, bolting to a 16-0 lead. The Eagles went into halftime with a 29-11 advantage and continued their barrage in the third quarter, outscoring the Jackrabbits 21-4 to expand their advantage to 50-15.

Junior guard Jayden Riordan added 13 points and four assists for MSD. Junior forward Hezeki Smoot logged 12 points and eight rebounds.

Quentavis Rease topped KSD with 17 points and Kevin Quintin finished with 10.

The Eagles play at Higbee at 7:30 tonight.
