High school boys' basketball: North Callaway 49, Mark Twain 27

CENTER - Senior guard Gabe Cash supplied a game-high 14 points and the Thunderbirds captured their seventh consecutive victory with an Eastern Missouri Conference romp over the Tigers on Tuesday night.

North Callaway (12-10, 6-3 EMO) owned a 12-9 edge after one quarter and took a 25-16 lead into halftime. The Thunderbirds were on top 33-21 after three quarters and pulled away by outscoring Mark Twain 16-6 in the fourth quarter.

Gabe Cash also had six assists and six steals, while junior guard Cody Cash contributed 10 points for North Callaway.

Jace Barton led the Tigers (4-18, 0-9) with 11 points.

The Thunderbirds close out the regular season with an EMO matchup at Bowling Green at 7 p.m. Thursday.
