Seventh-grade setter Emily Elias supplied three kills in the Lady Hornets' 25-21 and 25-22 victory over the Lady Wildcats in their season and home opener Tuesday night.
Eighth-grade outside hitter Mariah Reed added four aces.
FMS also won the "B" match 25-18, 20-25 and 16-14. Seventh-grade setter Shawna Davison logged two kills and nine aces, while seventh-grade defensive specialist Justice Vardeman finished with five aces.
The Lady Hornets host Kingdom Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
