MEXICO — Senior Brock Fisher prevailed in the 1,600 meters in 4 minutes, 41.97 seconds and took fourth in the 800 in 2:05.07 for the Hornets at the Class 4, District 6 championships Saturday.

Fisher advanced to next Saturday's Sectional 3 championships at Montgomery County. The top four district finishers moved on in each event.

Qualifying for the Fulton girls were sophomore Kayanna Gaines, second in the 1,600 (5:25.59), and freshman Rylee Baker, third in the pole vault (8 feet).

The Hornets finished 11th in District 6 with 31.50 points and the Lady Hornets placed 12th with 24. Kirksville and Hannibal locked up the boys' and girls' District 6 team championships, respectively, with 126 and 108 points.
