Boys Wrestling: Fulton's Hrabovsky, Caswell pick up individual titles at Oak Grove

OAK GROVE - Sophomore Sam Hrabovsky and junior Jackson Caswell won championships at 120 and 113 pounds, respectively, to direct the Hornets to a sixth-place finish Saturday at the Panther Classic.

Freshman Owen Uhls suffered his first loss of the season in taking second at 106 as Fulton logged 130 points in the team standings. Senior Steven Johnson came in third at 220 and senior Tyrese Vaughn was fifth at 285.

Hrabovsky remained unbeaten at 28-0 by producing a 5-0 decision against Monett's Karter Brink in his title match. Caswell (44-3) clipped Eldon's Isaiah Simmons in a 3-2 decision to take first place.

Uhls (46-1) bowed to Blue Springs' Cayden Dotson in a 5-2 decision in the championship match.

Johnson (27-11) pinned Eldon's Jonathan Schoenfeld in 4:40 in the third-place match. Vaughn (19-17) scored a pin against Mid-Buchanan's Wyatt Callaway in 4:12 for fifth place.

Monett secured the team championship with 222.5 points. Smithville followed in second with 165 points, edging host Oak Grove in third with 164.

The Hornets compete Friday and Saturday in the Class 2 District 2 championships in Marshall.
