There will be no shortage of basketball this weekend at Helias High School to begin the 2018-19 season.
The Frisco League/Show-Me Conference Challenge will consist of 18 games today and Saturday at Helias' Auxiliary Gym and Rackers Fieldhouse.
Three games will be played in each gym today, beginning at 5 p.m. Play will resume with 12 games total Saturday - six at each gym - starting at 11 a.m.
In last year's challenge, which was at Waynesville, the Frisco League won the boys series 5-3, while each conference won four games in the girls league.
This year, all nine teams from each conference will be participating. Chamois did not play in last year's Challenge.
The matchups are based upon each team's finish in league play during last season. The Frisco League champion faces the Show-Me Conference champion, the second-place teams will play against each other, and so on through ninth place.
