A couple of William Woods men earned a spot in the ITA Cup to be played in October after winning the doubles competition Saturday in the ITA Regionals in Bourbannais, Ill.
Vitek Subert and Nathan Cooke won the ITA Central West title after defeating a Missouri Baptist duo in the finals (7-6, 6-1).
On their way there, the pair defeated William Woods teammates Robert Schorr and Vaclav Schneider 8-5 in the semifinals.
In singles, No. 2 seed Patrick Shelepov was upset in the seminfinals by the No. 14 seed from Cardinal Stritch 5-7, 4-6.
Subert and Cooke will play in the ITA Cup Oct. 13-18 in Rome, Ga.
