William Woods men's soccer is still searching for it's first win, but freshman Lubos Polacko had his first goal as an Owl.

Playing on Westminster College's field on a rainy day, William Woods lose 2-1 to Ottawa to move to 0-4 on the season.

Polacko's goal wouldn't come until deep into the second half, when the Owls were trailing by two goals.

Ottawa (1-2-1) would have a sizable advantage in total shots in the second half at 11-4, but shots would be almost even in the first at 8-6 in favor of Ottawa. The Braves still grabbed a 2-0 halftime lead after goals in the eighth and 33rd minutes.

In the 76th minute, the Owls would net their only goal with Polacko's on an assist by Gabriel Gonzalez. They managed one more shot after that.

William Woods goalkeeper Ben Faherty had to deal with nine Ottawa shots on goal, stopping six of them.

Now that they're familiar with Westminster's turf field, the Owls will return there for their next game at 7 p.m. Wednesday against the Blue Jays (0-2).
