Three William Woods athletes were recognized for their accomplishments during the past week,
Philipp Heller and Maria Zrodowska were named the American Midwest Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, while Landon Dunlap was awarded the title of AMC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
This is the first time William Woods golf has swept the men's and women's conference weekly awards this season and is the third consecutive time Zrodowska has been given the women's award. Heller placed third at the Missouri Valley Fall Invitational on Sept. 27-28, shooting an 8-under 208. Zrodowska won the women's competition at the MVC Fall Invitational with a 3-over 147, winning by tiebreaker.
Dunlap had the 12th-best time out of 87 runners Oct. 1 at the Gans Creek Classic. He completed in the 8K race in 26:20.
