Women's Tennis: LSU-Alexandria 4, William Woods 1

MOBILE, Ala. - The No. 11 William Woods Owls were eliminated in the second round of the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championships after losing to No. 8 Louisiana State University-Alexandria.

Ana Zavala provided the Owls with their only point on the day after defeating Alicia Romero Gomez in the No. 2 match (6-3, 6-2). William Woods either lost or weren't able to finish the other five singles matches. The No. 1 and No. 4 matches were left unfinished with Zlata Shuraeva and Rukshika Wijesooriya leading in those respective matches.

Zavala and Shuraeva's No. 1 doubles match was also left unfinished and then the Owls dropped the last two 6-2 and 6-0.

William Woods concludes its season with a record of 15-6.
