ST. LOUIS — Westminster sophomore Katy Allen was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor track and field women's field newcomer of the year, the league announced Saturday.

Allen finished runner-up in both the women's long jump and triple jump for the Blue Jays, earning all-conference honors in both events. The top-three finishers in each event were named to the all-SLIAC team.

Avylina Powel-Qualo won the women's high jump to take all-SLIAC honors, while Haleigh StClair won the women's javelin.

Allen was also named to the SLIAC women's track and field all-sportsmanship team as the Blue Jays' representative.

For the Westminster men, DeAndre White was second in the shot put and discus to earn all-conference honors and Devonte Hubbard was second in the long jump. White was also Westminster's men's athlete on the SLIAC all-sportsmanship team.
