Kuehl, Rosemann and Schannuth honored by AMC

It was a good week for the William Woods volleyball team.

The Owls swept the weekly honors in the American Midwest Conference, as Hannah Kuehl was named the attacker of the week, Tori Rosemann earned the defender of the week award and Tess Schannuth was recognized as the setter of the week.

This is Schannuth's second AMC Setter of the Week honor. The junior tallied 118 assists in three matches this week, including 53 in a win against Stephens College. She also recorded 10 digs against Stephens College.

Schannuth had 45 assists and 14 digs in Saturday's non-conference defeat at Lincoln College.

Lincoln College defeated William Woods 25-23, 27-25, 21-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Rosemann received defender of the week honors for the second time this season, totaling 79 digs in three matches.

The junior racked up 45 digs in the match against Lincoln College.

Kuehl was solid in each match last week, getting 14 kills against Lincoln College, 11 in a win against Williams Baptist and 10 against Stephens College.

Kate Doerhoff led the Owls with 14 kills against Lincoln College. Faith McQueen added 11 kills and Lanie Lowrie finished with 10.

Emily Greif and Ally Konarzewski finished in double figures in digs with 14 and 13, respectively.

William Woods (4-2, 4-0 AMC) will continue conference play Thursday against Harris-Stowe in St. Louis.
