MADISON, Ill. - Aubrey Nelson placed 13th to lead the Westminster Blue Jays to a seventh-place finish in the SLIAC Championships at Gateway National Golf Course.
Nelson carded an 88 on Tuesday in the third and final round. On Monday, Nelson shot an 81 and a 74.
Westminster tallied 1,008 strokes to end up 156 shots over par.
Webster won the team title with a three-round total of 57-over 909. Justin McCoy of Webster shot a 5-over 218 to win the individual title.
Westminster's Curt Matheny was consistent, shooting 83-82-84 for a 36-over 249 to place 23d. right behind in a tie for 24th was Carson Speer with a 37-over 250, including an 81 on Tuesday.
Rounding out the Blue Jays were Mikie Rybak in 38th with a 53-over 266 and Luke Johnson in 50th with a 78-over 291.
