Westminster sophomore Avylina Powel-Qualo was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's field athlete of the week, the league announced Monday.

It's the second straight week Powel-Qualo has received the honor.

In last Thursday's Truman State Twilight meet, Powel-Qualo won the women's high jump, clearing a height of 5 feet, 7 inches.

That mark is the fourth-best height nationally at the NCAA Division III level in the 2021 outdoor track and field season. Thursday was also Powel-Qualo's second time competing in the high jump for the Blue Jays, clearing a height of 5-4.25 on April 17 in the Greenville (Ill.) Select meet.
