Men's soccer: Columbia College edges William Woods in AMC Tournament

COLUMBIA - The William Woods men's soccer team concluded their season Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Columbia College in the American Midwest Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Top-seeded Columbia College advances to Tuesday's tournament semifinals against No. 4 seed Williams Baptist.

The Cougars took a 1-0 lead when Erik Rajoy scored on a penalty kick in the 29th minute.

Jake Totty scored on a header in the 35th minute.

William Woods' Guillermo Fernandez connected with Omar Ariel Murillo Hernandez on a corner kick for a goal in the 61st minute.

Iker Gonzalez made seven saves in goal for the Owls, who end their season at 4-5-1.
