College Baseball: College of the Ozarks 13, William Woods 2

POINT LOOKOUT - College of the Ozarks homered three times, including two-run bomb in the eighth inning to end the game by run-rule, in a 13-2 victory against the William Woods Owls.

The Owls led 1-0 after Isaiah Gibbs scored from second base on a 4-6 fielder's choice in the first inning.

The Bobcats then scored twice in the bottom of the first and five times in the fourth to lead 7-1.

The fifth inning began with a single off the bat of Erik Stewart, who scored on a Gibbs sacrifice fly.

The game ended when Ryan Daggs, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI and two homers, went deep to left field for a two-run home run.

Marcus Gonzalez had a single and a double for two of William Woods' four hits against the Bobcats (9-17).

Kaleb Haley pitched three innings to take the loss, allowing two earned runs and three hits with three strikeouts and a walk.

William Woods (12-11) will get back to American Midwest Conference play Friday when it plays at Harris-Stowe. The doubleheader is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in St. Louis.
