WENTZVILLE - Fulton senior Kayanna Gaines accounted for the Lady Hornets' two top-eight finishes Saturday in the Holt Invitational.
Gaines took second place in the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:25.82, finishing 11-hundredths of a second behind Montgomery County's Lyric Ford.
In the 800-meter run, Gaines clocked an eighth-place time of 2:34.33.
The Fulton boys had their best finish in the 4x800-meter relay, which placed 10th with a time of 10:30.12.
Fulton returns to action today at Hannibal.
