Men's Track and Field: Harris leads Blue Jays at CMU Invitational

FAYETTE - Westminster freshman Rothman Harris posted a sixth-place finish for the Blue Jays in the men's javelin at the Central Methodist Invitational, which was held Friday and Saturday.

Harris had a throw of 144 feet, 8 inches in the javelin, which featured 18 competitors.

Junior DeAndre White took 10th place in the shot put with a throw of 36-9.75. Sophomore Geoffrey Giles was 15th with a throw of 34-4.

White also placed 10th in the discus with a toss of 102-2, while Giles was 14th with a throw of 95-9.

In the 100-meter dash, freshman Ben Wallace finished 19th with a time of 11.90 seconds for the Blue Jays. Wallace was also 24th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.17 seconds.

Sophomore Jacob Marshall placed 18th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.45.
