College women's track and field: William Woods' Van Harn takes 16th in shot at NAIA national meet

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Senior Megan Van Harn finished 16th in the shot put for the Lady Owls with a throw of 12.69 meters at the NAIA indoor national championships Saturday.

Van Harn opened the national championships by coming in 11th in the pentathlon with 3,094 points last Thursday. She won the shot with a distance of 12.70 and was 11th in the high jump (1.49).

Van Harn took 13th in the long jump (4.64), 14th in the 800 meters (2 minutes, 40.32 seconds), and was last in the 60 hurdles (:09.83).

William Woods University sophomore Hannah Ehlinger also competed at the national championships, but was unable to clear in the high jump Saturday.
