The host Lady Blue Jays shot a dismal 32 percent (18-of-57) from the field as their four-game St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference winning streak was ended by the Lady Gorloks on Thursday night.

Westminster College — which was swept by Webster University in the season series — slipped to 10-12 overall and 9-6 in the SLIAC. The Lady Gorloks moved to 15-7 on the season and 13-2 in conference play.

The Lady Blue Jays found themselves down 16-8 after one quarter Thursday night and were behind 38-20 at halftime. Westminster trailed 60-34 entering the fourth quarter.

Junior guard Kallee Dowler and sophomore guard Reese Arnold both had 10 points to lead the Lady Blue Jays.

Senior forward Mikalyn Callahan pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds as Westminster was outrebounded 38-30.

Naomi Johnson was 5-of-7 from 3-point range and made both of her free throws to direct Webster with a game-high 17 points. Jaysea Morgan added 13 points as the Lady Gorloks shot 43 percent (23-of-54) as a team.

The Lady Blue Jays go to St. Louis to face Fontbonne University in a SLIAC contest at 1 p.m. Saturday. Westminster fell to Fontbonne 76-68 on Jan. 15 in Fulton.
