Women's track and field: William Woods' Van Harn, Ehlinger reach NAIA standards

ELSAH, Ill. - Senior Megan Van Harn and sophomore Hannah Ehlinger achieved NAIA "B" standards in their respective events Saturday for the William Woods Lady Owls at the American Midwest Conference indoor championships.

William Woods finished fourth as a team with 126 points.

Van Harn hit the standard by winning the shot put with a throw of 13.33 meters. Ehlinger met the standard with her triumph in the high jump at 1.65.

Junior Harley Nale was also victorious for the Lady Owls in the 600-meter run in 1:48.91 seconds. Senior Shannon McIlhenney took first place in the pole vault at 2.60.

Sophomore Katie French came in second in the shot at 12.21, while junior Kylie Zamboni-Cutter tied for third in the high jump at 1.46. Sophomore Grace Andritsch was third in the 600 in 1:50.67.

Freshman Arien Roden finished third in the pole vault for William Woods at 2.15. Sophomore Alicia Engelbrecht placed third in the mile run in 5:25.58.

The Lady Owls' 4x800-meter relay team of sophomore Faith Gerling, junior Katie Keath and freshmen Kristan Wilson and Alessa Cremer came in third in 10:50.67.

The distance medley relay of Keath, junior Courtney Richardson, freshman Keelee Watkins and Gerling took third in 14:26.71.
