College men's soccer: Hastings (Neb.) 3, William Woods 2

HASTINGS, Neb. - Sophomore forward Billy Nzojyibwami and freshman midfielder Jonathan Brown both supplied goals in the Owls' narrow loss to the No. 15 Broncos on Sunday.

Nzojyibwami's unassisted goal in the 28th minute tied the game at 1-all for William Woods University (1-3). With Hastings College (3-0) in front 3-1, Brown scored in the 88th minute off an assist from senior midfielder Victor Faure.

The Owls were outshot 15-8 overall and 6-3 in shots on goal. The Broncos also owned a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Iker Gonzalez logged three saves for William Woods.

The Owls were coming off their first win of the season, 2-0 over Doane (Neb.) College last Friday night in Crete, Neb. Junior defender Zachary Baliva and Logan Christopher each delivered goals for William Woods.

The Owls play their home opener against No. 14 Bellevue (Neb.) University at 7 p.m. Thursday at Firley Field.
