DUBUQUE, Iowa - Sophomore Sean Sax finished 3-0 to capture the championship at 149 pounds as the Blue Jays opened the season at the University of Dubuque Invitational on Saturday.
Sax pinned Dubuque's Michael Mutton in 53 seconds in the title match.
Junior Hunter Tessman also finished second at 174 pounds for Westminster College, while sophomore Dalton Landreth took fourth at 141. Will Hunter was fifth at 184 pounds and junior Brock Davis came in sixth at 133.
The Blue Jays compete at the Lindenwood Open in St. Charles on Saturday.
