PARKVILLE - The No. 4 seed Lady Owls' season ended in a 25-18, 30-28 and 25-13 sweep by the No. 1 Lady Pirates in the semifinals of the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament Friday.
Sophomore middle blocker Hannah Kuehl posted eight kills to pace William Woods University, which finished with a 19-19 record. Senior libero Kayton Coffee recorded 15 digs, while junior setter Remie Johnson logged a double-double with 24 assists and 14 digs.
Junior defensive specialist Mallorie Brooks chipped in with 10 digs for the Lady Owls.
Park University and No. 2 seed Missouri Baptist University squared off for the AMC championship Saturday afternoon.
