College women's cross country: William Woods takes fourth in AMC

ELSAH, Ill. - Junior Harley Nale took 15th in 19 minutes, 44.57 seconds as the Lady Owls placed fourth as a team at the American Midwest Conference championships Friday.

Sophomore Alicia Engelbrecht was 18th in 20:18.68 for William Woods University, which logged 105 points. Sophomore Faith Gerling followed in 20th in 20:25.73 and junior Kimi Putnam came in 25th in 20:50.55.

Sophomore Whitneigh Drown also finished 27th in 21:08.20 for the Lady Owls.

Columbia College captured the AMC team title with 33 points to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA national championships.
