COLUMBIA - The No. 8 seed Owls' season came to a close after they were shut out by the top-seeded and second-ranked Cougars in the quarterfinals of the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament Saturday.
Nathan Durdle accounted for the game's only goal for Columbia College (18-0) in the 66th minute.
William Woods - finishing the season at 6-13 - was outshot by the Cougars 15-5, including 4-0 in shots on goal. Columbia College also had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
