College women's basketball: William Woods 57, Cottey College 42

NEVADA - Sophomore forward Kasey Hazell produced a game-high 14 points to help steer the Lady Owls to the 15-point triumph over the Lady Comets on Wednesday night.

Hazell was 5-of-6 from the field as William Woods improved to 2-0 on the season. Senior guard Peyton Greenlee added 13 points for the Lady Owls, who were in front 22-16 at halftime.

Senior guard Kaycee Gerald collected a game-high 11 rebounds for William Woods.

The Lady Owls play their home opener against Graceland (Iowa) University at 2 p.m. Saturday at Anderson Arena.
