ELSAH, Ill. — Westminster sophomore midfielder Joe Wilder was responsible for the Blue Jays' only goal in a 2-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss to the Principia (Ill.) Panthers to end their season Saturday.

Wilder put Westminster College (5-11, 5-4 SLIAC) in front when he scored in the 34th minute. Principia (10-6, 7-2) pulled even with a goal in the 62nd minute and then came up with the game-winner in the 85th minute.

The Blue Jays were outshot by the Panthers 18-12, including 7-4 in shots on goal. Principia also finished with a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Blue Jays are the No. 4 seed in the SLIAC postseason tournament and will get a rematch at No. 1 Principia in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
