CARLINVILLE, Ill. - After going 0-4 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Tournament in early September, the Westminster Lady Blackburn Blue Jays have now won seven of their last eight after sweeping the Lady Beavers 25-19, 25-15 and 25-13 in SLIAC play Wednesday night.
Westminster College (9-8, 8-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) used a late rally in the first set to seize control against Blackburn College.
Senior outside hitter Hannah Marshall led the Lady Blue Jays in their fourth straight SLIAC victory with 11 kills. Junior libero Bridget Ringwald was the leader on defense with a team-high 14 digs.
Westminster hosts SLIAC foe Spalding (Kentucky) University at 6 tonight.
