College volleyball: St. Mary (Kan.) 3, William Woods 2

The Lady Owls slipped to 16-18 on the season after bowing to the Lady Spires 21-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23 and 15-10 in their final home match of the season Friday night at Anderson Arena.

Sophomore middle blocker Hannah Kuehl led William Woods University with 17 kills and senior libero Kayton Coffee provided 21 digs. Freshman outside hitter Ally Konarzewski chipped in with 13 digs and junior defensive specialist Mallorie Brooks had 10.

Junior setter Remie Johnson recorded 29 assists for the Lady Owls and sophomore setter Alli Gueck contributed 15.

William Woods travels to Williams Baptist (Ark.) University for an American Midwest Conference match at 7 p.m. next Friday. The Lady Owls then close out the regular season with a conference match at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University at 11 a.m. Saturday.
