College volleyball: William Woods volleyball team falls to No. 5 Park

William Woods University senior opposite Nise Salima finished with 10 kills as the Lady Owls volleyball team was swept by No. 5 Park University in a 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 AMC loss Wednesday night at Anderson Arena.

Junior setter Remie Johnson logged a double-double with 24 assists and 10 digs for William Woods, which suffered its second straight loss in slipping to 16-17 overall and 7-3 in the American Midwest Conference.

Junior opposite Kate Doerhoff and freshman outside hitter Lanie Lowry added six kills apiece for the Lady Owls. Senior libero Kayton Coffee chipped in with nine digs.

Park improved to 22-3 on the season and stayed perfect in the AMC at 9-0.

William Woods plays its final home match of the season against the University of St. Mary (Kan.) at 7 tonight.
