Men's basketball: William Woods 92, St. Louis Pharmacy 58

Sophomore forward Codi Whitlock supplied a game-high 19 points to pace four players in double figures as the Owls demolished the Eutectics in an AMC rout Tuesday night at Anderson Arena.

William Woods University collected its sixth victory in the last seven games, improving to 10-6 on the season and remaining tied for second in the American Midwest Conference at 7-3. St. Louis College of Pharmacy tumbled to 3-14 overall and 2-8 in the AMC.

The Owls owned a slim 12-11 edge over the Eutectics when they broke out on a 19-5 run to open up a double-digit lead. Sophomore forward Makenzie Fessler's basket in the paint gave William Woods a 31-16 advantage with 3 minutes, 32 seconds left in the first half.

The Owls carried a 38-21 lead into halftime and were up by as many as 35 points in the second half.

Whitlock was 9-of-12 from the field as William Woods shot 52 percent (38-of-73) for the game, including 65 percent (22-of-34) in the second half. Junior guard Jessie Frost-Dixon added 16 points, Fessler finished with 13 and freshman guard Aaron Brookins contributed 11.

Fessler grabbed six rebounds to spark the Owls to a commanding 47-34 advantage on the boards.

RJ Wright tallied 18 points to guide STLCOP, which shot just 34 percent (22-of-65) as a team. Uros Rogan provided 11 points.

William Woods continues AMC play at Park University at 5:30 p.m. today. The Owls will be looking to avenge a 78-73 loss to the Pirates on Nov. 15 in Fulton.
