A Fulton man with multiple felony warrants is now on ice following his arrest Tuesday.

Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies conducted a fugitive investigation at 7:11 a.m. in the 3000 block of Hilltop Drive near Fulton, according to the CCSO arrest report. Deputies were searching for Charles Bentley, 55, of Fulton, for multiple felony Callaway County warrants that included four counts of an unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of domestic assault.

According to Missouri CaseNet, Bentley plead guilty on two counts of second-degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon in 2014. Bentley was sentenced to six years of probation in October 2015 and subsequently violated his probation on eight separate occasions. His probation was suspended Jan. 23. Bentley failed to appear at his most recent probation violation hearing Nov. 14 and a warrant for his arrest was issued the next day.

While searching the residence, the CCSO deputies discovered Bentley hiding in a deep freezer. Bentley was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. He is being held without bond, pending further court review, according to the CCSO.
