Officer discharges weapon at Missouri senior living facility

SAVANNAH, MO. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after an officer fired a service weapon outside a northwest Missouri senior living facility while serving a warrant on a suspect who was part of a crew working on the facility's roof.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports that Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Jake Angle says no one was injured.

He says four suspects fled when officers from several agencies arrived Monday morning at the senior living facility in the Andrew County town of Savannah to serve the warrant. All four were taken into custody, including the person originally wanted on a felony warrant.

No details were released about what prompted the officer to fire his weapon.
