Starting next week, the Callaway County Public Library will stay open until 8 p.m. Tuesdays.

"We hope that those who work out of town or people who can't visit between 9 a.m.-6 p.m., will take advantage of these expanded hours on Tuesday or stop by on Saturday," said Sara Henry, Callaway County Public Library manager.

The library also plans to offer in-person programs on Tuesday nights in the future.

The Callaway County Public Library is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. People can come in to check out books, magazines, movies and more for free with a library card. Curbside pickup is also available during all open hours.
