A community organization known for giving back will be celebrating its 50th anniversary a year late.
The Holts Summit Lions Club will be celebrating its 50th anniversary from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 6 at its building, 116 E. Hillcrest Ave. in Holts Summit.
The event will include a meal, a building dedication ceremony and honoring of local Cub and Bear scouts. There will also be an oral presentation about the history of the organization, which was chartered in 1970.
The event is free and open to the public, but the reservation deadline is Monday. A reservation can be made by contacting Don Soph at [email protected] or by calling event chair Roseanne Ridenour at 573-619-9077.
The event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
