The cat cleaned out the dogs several times and finally was about to scratch them to death when the boys running and scared the varmint up a tree. The boys did not know what it was only that it was a fearful fighter and succeeded in licking a couple of bull dogs that had never before known defeat. They went home and got a gun and shot the catamount till he fell from the tree, dead. It was a very large one, as spotted as a fawn and bob-tailed.
