One person has been charged after a weapons offense Friday in Callaway County.

Callaway County Sheriff's Department reports state deputies responded to a disturbance at 2:43 p.m. on County Road 256, north of Millersburg. While responding, deputies were advised shots had been fired and a subject had been struck.

Upon arrival, deputies identified Jerren Harris, 26, of Fulton, as their suspect. Harris had reportedly fled the scene on foot before deputies arrived. After searching for about an hour, deputies located Harris reportedly hiding at a nearby location where he was taken into custody.

The victim received non-life threatening injury.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Harris with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and domestic assault. As of Monday evening, Harris was being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail.

Authorities said the investigation continues and further charges may be forthcoming.
