INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) - A teenage girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition after a Sunday afternoon shooting in the Kansas City suburb of Independence.
Independence Police spokesman Jack Taylor said the shooting happened near noon Sunday near the intersection of Missouri 24 and Blue Ridge Boulevard.
Few details about the shooting were immediately available Sunday afternoon.
The name and age of the victim wasn't released. No suspect information was available.
