All households can apply for the winter LIHEAP program.

Funding for energy assistance began Nov. 1 for seniors and households receiving a disability income. Funding will begin Dec. 1 for all households. It takes 30 days to process applications from the date it was received.

Applications are available at cmca.us/get-help/energy-assistance or on the door at the Callaway CMCA office, 610 Collier Lane, Fulton. Applications can be submitted online or by mail to the CMCA Energy Assistance Office, 800 N. Providence Rd, Columbia, Missouri 65203.

Households do not have to be past due or in threat of disconnection to receive assistance but will need a current bill. There is an increase of $1,600 maximum per household for winter ECIP and $1,200 maximum per household for summer ECIP, which begins in June.
