Beahon Rotaract members Krystal Burgtorf and Paige Hawkins take the first shift of bell ringing for the Salvation Army.

Members of the William Woods University Rotaract Club and William Woods University's tennis team teamed up last Friday and Saturday to ring bells for the Salvation Army.

On Friday, Fulton Rotary Club members will take their turns at bell ringing. Callaway County Mizzou Alumni will fill some of the slots Friday and Saturday.

The Fulton Kiwanis Club is scheduled to ring bells Dec. 11.

The familiar red kettles will be at Moser's from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 24. Bells ringing at Walmart begins Nov. 26.

"We need a lot more volunteers," Salvation Army of Callaway County chairperson Glenda Fitch said. "Anyone with two hours to donate on a Friday or Saturday between now and Christmas Eve can call me or the First Christian Church to schedule a date and time. We have a job for them that will help bring comfort and joy to their hearts."

For more information or to volunteer, contact Fitch at [email protected] or 573 529-9675.
