Workers with A-1 Party and Event Rental in Columbia set up tents Friday afternoon on Court Street in downtown Fulton in preparation for the return of Morels and Microbrews today.

The popular event — which was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic — is scheduled from noon-4 p.m. Those who bought tickets for beer sampling will get to try offerings from 25-30 breweries, two distilleries and a winery.

Morels might be the more popular attraction for anyone who attends today's festival, whether to eat fried ones on the spot or take home fresh ones.

The event will wrap up with a live morel auction at 4 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Kay Brothers, the Burney Sisters and MK Ultra at the intersection of Fifth and Court streets.
