Callaway Youth Expo names winners

The Callaway Youth Expo produced many winners earlier this month in its many categories in the showing arena and on the royal court.

A parade of cows, swine, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits flooded the expo, and the winners are as follows:

Beef breeding bull category - Ahna Sinclair was named the grand champion and Adrienne Bryant was named the reserve champion. Bryant was the grand champion in the beef breeding cow category, and Gage Baker was the reserve champion. Baker emerged as the market beef grand champion, and Adrian Brown was the reserve champion. In home-raised steer, Baker was also the grand champion while Reed Benne was the reserve champion. Sophie Geppert wrapped up the cow categories as the supreme champion in the dairy cattle category, and Amelia Rohrbach was named the supreme reserve champion.

Swine show - Winners included Curtis Humphreys as the grand and reserve champion in the breeding gilts category. Keegan Humphreys was the grand champion in market swine while Blake Whipple was the reserve champion. In the meats categories, Levi Moore was the country cured bacon grand champion while Carson Safranski was the reserve champion, and Vanessa Perry was the country cured ham grand champion while Mackenzie Lauer was the reserve champion.

Goats - The dairy goat doe category had Avery Wiegand as the grand champion while Racie Mahnken was the reserve champion, and the dairy goat buck category had Mahnken as the grand champion while Kaitlynn Murphy was the reserve champion. Adam Rhoades was the market goat grand champion, and Schyler Angell was the reserve champion. The breeding meat goat bucks had Emma Wilson as the grand champion, and Bryli DeLashmutt as the reserve champion while breeding meat goat does had Lauren Hammett as the grand and reserve champion.

Sheep - Winners included breeding sheep ewe grand champion Adam Rhoades and the reserve champion Bethany Rhoades. The breeding sheep ram category had Jaden Smithee as the grand champion and Amelia Schweiss as the reserve champion. Nolen Winkler was the market sheep grand champion, and Quincy Wiegand was the reserve champion.

Poultry - Walker Dycus was the breeding chicken grand champion, and Riley Dycus was the reserve champion. The meat chickens category had Caleb Rohrbach as the grand champion, and Carson Safranski as the reserve champion.

Rabbits - Levi Huffman was the supreme champion, and Audrey Prater was the supreme reserve champion. Huffman also was named the supreme champion in the meat rabbits category while Carver Safranski was the supreme reserve champion.

As far as the royalty goes, Cassidy Murphy was crowned as the queen, Harley Hook as the princess, Levi Wilsmeyer as the prince and Ryleigh Storm as the dutchess. Rayline Wright was named Miss Clover.
