Call up your girls and plan a night out on the town for the Shop and Sip: Ladies' Night event in Fulton's Historic Brick District.

The event kicks off Thursday, July 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with shopping, music, delicious food and drink, and the grand reopening of the America's National Churchill Museum.

Local merchants are dreaming up food, beverages and shopping incentives with an English flare in honor of Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine.

Before heading out, make sure to grab a Brick District Sip & Shop passport at any of the participating businesses; collect stamps from each businesses and turn it in to be entered to win a $100 Brick District gift certificate.

"I just thinks it's a really fun cross collaboration that we're doing," said Director for Fulton - Callaway County Tourism Renee Graham. "I'm working on taking these different aspects and these cross promotions and to show this really fun weekend you can do in Fulton and Callaway County. So we have this whole weekend of fun and interesting things to do."

And then starting Friday, in honor of reopening, the National Churchill Museum will be having free admission to the museum all weekend courtesy of Visit Fulton.

On Saturday, take the girls out to brunch at the Playhouse Cafe where Churchill's favorite chilled beverage will be awaiting you champagne. Brunch is served from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fulton's Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for some local produce, meats and baked, homemade goods. Then, spend the afternoon at Serenity Valley Winery enjoying live music by Ray Cardwell while tasting some local wines. And then finish the night off, at 54 Country with live music and line dancing.

If you prefer to spend time with your four-legged friends, Loganberry Inn is throwing a tea party for guests and their fur-babies on Sunday, August 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Treats and activities will be provided for both two and four-legged guests. Call the Loganberry Inn at 573-642-9229 to purchase a $35 ticket. Proceeds will be going to the Unchained Melodies Dog Rescue. There will be a silent auction with personal and pet related items. The raffle items include a one-night stay at the inn for two people and a pet, a picnic package for two from the inn, and a one-month membership to use the sauna at Salt-Teas Spa.
