On Friday, Auxvasse City Clerk Sandy Lavy confirmed the candidates who've filed to run in the April 6 general municipal election.
Candidate filing closed Tuesday, though clerks have until the following Tuesday to confirm the candidates meet the required criteria to appear on the ballot.
On the ballot for Auxvasse are one North Ward board of aldermen seat, one South Ward seat and the mayor's seat.
Tom Henage, Auxvasse's current mayor, has not opted to run for re-election. The sole candidate for the position is Ashley Steinbeck, who currently holds the South Ward seat that will be up for election.
Running to replace Steinbeck is new candidate Clifford Wenneker.
Two candidates are competing for the North Ward seat: incumbent Monica Ayers and newcomer Robin Burch.
Board of aldermen members hold two-year terms. The mayor position is also a two-year term.
