Students at Fulton Public Schools were able to put together 100 bags of donations aimed at helping the homeless population warm.

It took multiple car loads to transport the donations on Friday afternoon from Fulton High School to Our House.

"This is a community that steps up to meet the needs," Our House Executive Director Misty Dothage said. "I think this is also a community that when they see young people getting excited about doing things they support it 100 percent."

The students came up with the project, collected donations from friends, family and local businesses and put together the bags over the past month.

"It's like one big care package for the community wrapped up by so many people putting their hearts into it," Dothage said. "This is one that's going to be hard for other people to follow."
