New Bloomfield board to talk large projects

NEW BLOOMFIELD - The New Bloomfield R-3 School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the central office meeting room.

The board will consider a five-year agreement with Navigate Building Solutions to serve as an owner representative and construction manager for some of the district's large upcoming projects.

The board will hear a report from the Title I Communication Arts and Mathematics program. The federally funded program objectives include helping K-6 students attain grade level goals in math and reading.

Elementary Principal Jennifer Fletcher and middle and high school Principal Paul Cloudwright will present curriculum reports. Superintendent Sarah Wisdom will also discuss finances, district updates and the quarterly review of the district's comprehensive school improvement plan.

Issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, include case counts, community usage of buildings, extracurricular activities and masks are also on the agenda. These issues have been included on every agenda this semester in case the board determines action is needed.

The board will also consider a three-year renewal with Quality Network Services to provide technology support services. The renewal would include $6,471 in savings over the three years.
